About Us

Elm City Clothing is a hometown apparel store that focuses on the history and unique neighborhoods of New Haven, Connecticut. Our designs are made by Mark and are a combination of hand-drawn doodles, photoshop and illustrator elements.
If you have artwork that you would like to see used on apparel, contact us, we love to work with local artists.    
Bella & Canvas 3001 & 3501 are our go-to shirts for short and long sleeves. They are excellent quality and built to last. For hooded sweatshirts, depending on design requirements, we use Bella & Canvas, Independent Trading Co., and Cotton Heritage. The shirts that you find in this store are retail quality.
We have every shirt printed individually for each customer, which believe it or not, costs less on the back end. That's also why you will see a return address from out of town. Your order is sent to us, and a printing machine prints and ships it to your address. We're working on having all of our products printed in New Haven.

We are not affiliated with the city of New Haven, or any of the neighborhoods or historical places depicted in designs. The designs you find here are meant to be easy going, and in the style of something you would find in a gift shop.
